Some of the best times of my life were in Grand Cayman! When I think of Cayman, I picture miles of white sand beaches, stingrays, and laughing with the best people in the world. I have friends and old roommates that still keep in touch and I see as often as I can. Four years is nothing!
It all started when I was a fresh college grad, and I knew I wanted to go somewhere. To be honest I didn’t really care where I went or what I did, but I just had to go somewhere. I ended up taking a job at a silly little restaurant in Georgetown, and serving fish and chips to cruise ship guests. Eventually, I found my place and begun my career in underwater photography. Oh yea, and I met this cute Canadian too!
Now I’m going to work at Divers Supply, and I’m really excited to learn more about diving equipment. The dive industry is something I just can’t let go of, and I am ready to learn more. Speaking of, I’m considering doing my Dive Master course while in Cayman. Can I handle full time work and a course? I’m sure I could!
I spent countless hours on the reefs of Cayman, and my job ignited an interest in underwater photography that would take me to Bonaire. I spent two and half years there as an underwater photographer and videographer.
Together Nick and I made friends and memories on the island. We had two wonderful years that we just can’t seem to forget. Nothing has ever been as good as Grand Cayman, and now, finally, we are going back!
Have a great time in your new adventure! Maybe I need to learn diving and come there someday.
